Realizing end customers’ goals of digital transformation and business expansion
Taiwan Web Service Corporation (TWSC), as a Taiwan AI Cloud, was established in 2021 and unveiled Asia’s first commercial high-performance computing (AIHPC) supercomputer for the service industry. Intending to create an AI digital economic ecosystem, it is helping the industry quickly obtain AI intelligent applications and cloud architecture solutions of high efficiency and low barriers. We have provided AIHPC cloud computing resources for market digital research and development, cooperating with partners to carry out diversified industrial solutions including AI on 5G, hybrid cloud, data information, and blockchain, and assisting industries in building, training, managing, and deploying AI intelligent applications more quickly and flexibly. The objectives are to accelerate the digital development of start-ups and enterprises with the results of ESG’s carbon reduction layout and to achieve the goal of end customers of digital transformation and business expansion.
Combining national policy and ASUS Group resources to set a pragmatic mission and grand vision
As a major AI infrastructure under Taiwan’s national policy, the AIHPC supercomputer system was built by the collaboration between the National Center for High-Performance Computing and ASUS Group in 2018. It is constructed by the core members of Taiwan AI Cloud, who are also the operation team. It has independent technology, R & D capabilities, and abundant resources of ASUS Group. AIHPC cloud platform, built with scientific and technological innovation and patents, has excellent performance higher than 9 PFLOPS (performing 9-gigabit floating point operations per second). Its AIHPC system provides the highest performance with the best energy efficiency and is on par with the fastest supercomputers around the world, ranking the 20th in the TOP500 and the 10th in the Green500, both of which are the best and important milestones for supercomputers in Taiwan. Through AIHPC cloud platform, Taiwan AI Cloud aims to accelerate the process of AI industrialization and artificial intelligence of industries and to shape the AI service industry into a commercial development, so that each enterprise can introduce AI applications and services without having its own AI R&D team. It is similar to chip design companies which rely on the manufacturing services of semiconductor foundries without building their factories and production lines. Taiwan AI Cloud is also providing efficient computing power and information security solutions in the form of AIHPC cloud services to help its clients embrace a digital future that integrates intelligence with trust.
Continuous R&D of AIHPC system, optimization, and expansion of the AI industry ecosystem
Taiwan AI Cloud continues to build more complete and optimized AI tools and environments, such as OneAI, which provides one-stop MLOps services, and Cloud File Service (CFS) which supports various storage media, file lifecycle management, and sharing functions. It provides users with zero-code development support and rapid development of AI applications. At the same time, to drive the AI ecosystem for the subcontract manufacturing of the AI service industry, Taiwan AI Cloud is actively promoting the AI Factory Program to support the start-up industry. Taiwan AI Cloud provides AIHPC high-performance computing power and AI model development common tools platform, matches POS business opportunities for individual vertical industry fields and partners, and promotes AI Factory Program with abundant resources and services to create a co-prosperous business operation model.
